Get hands-on with honey, honeycomb and the magic of bees!
Get hands-on with honey in this sweet school holiday experience at The Grounds of Alexandria hosted by our friends at Maya Sunny Honey. Kids will step into the world of bees, discovering how these incredible creatures create one of nature’s sweetest treats while getting involved in the journey from hive to jar.
Perfect for curious little minds, this interactive workshop combines learning, creativity and plenty of hands-on fun. Children will explore the importance of bees, extract honey from the honeycomb and create their own jar of honey to take home.
Please note that bookings are essential and places will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so please act quickly to make sure your little ones don’t miss out!

The Kids’ Honey Workshop will run for approximately 45 minutes.
This experience is recommended for children aged 4–12 years. We know every child is different, so please use your best judgement to decide if it’s right for your little one.The workshop will take place on The Patio at The Grounds of Alexandria – a relaxed, outdoor, undercover space. Rain or shine, it’s happening!

Spaces are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $30 per child and available to purchase via Humanitix. Each ticket includes a hands-on workshop and the chance to create and take home a delicious jar of honey.
Yes. One parent or guardian is welcome (and encouraged) to stay and assist their child during the session.
The activities are designed for kids, but adults are welcome to watch, assist, and enjoy the experience alongside their child.
Our friends from Maya Sunny Honey will provide everything needed for the workshop. Just bring along your tickets and be ready for fun!
