Meet the new kids on the block: Bert & Ernie
Typically, these days when you call someone a puppet, you don’t think overly well of them. You’d be somewhere in the ball park of calling them an idiot, moron or something a little more on the edgy side. When Big Kev named his knew favourite pals, we assure you this wasn’t on his mind.
Growing up, Kev’s favourite TV show was without doubt Sesame street, and he could tell you everything about every puppet you can think of. So when given the naming rights of two loveable twins, how could he pass up the opportunity to name them after his favourite puppets duo, Bert and Ernie.
Kev may rule the roost with an iron fist, but he has to really, especially with new up start top cock Russel Crow recently joining the ranks and testing the bounds of who resides as the true king of the pen. Despite Kev’s staunchness, he does have a soft spot, and these cute as a button kids with their likeable personalities and zest for life have cut straight to Kev’s core.
The original Bert & Ernie were Sesame St flat mates (123 Sesame St, to be precise), one blissfully un aware, the other the ultimate idea killer. The only similarity between our guys is that one is taller and the other is smaller, apart from that they’re adventurous and as friendly as can be.
Next time you’re here, stop by the pen to meet the newest kids on the block!
