About The Bakery & Patisserie:
The Grounds of Alexandria houses its own unique artisan Bakery & Patisserie, located within The Cafe.
The open plan kitchen allows our guests to experience an inside look at the workings of bakers baking freshly made loaves and pastry chefs hard at work creating and building intricately constructed treats.
The Bakery’s retail area has also expanded for guests to take The Grounds experience home, with signature goods like custom-made homewares, fresh baked delights, house-made jam, granola, and coffee roasted in-house.
Our bakers experiment with various baking methods to develop their very own yeasts, proofing times and ingredients to create a selection of customised sourdoughs exclusive to The Grounds – offering something new and exciting to try each time you come. Our selection of artisan sourdoughs are baked on stone and made from an array of flours and seeds, some of which are hand-milled on site.
Every loaf has a story, and The Grounds’ range of loaves are culturally influenced by bakers from around the globe with premium ingredients sourced both locally and internationally.
