Make an elegant, romantic occasion of your date night with a romantic table at The Grounds of the City, complete with a candlestick and a beautiful red rose which you can keep at the end of your meal! Simply select this add-on when making your reservation online.
NOTE:
Date Night upgrade is $7.50 per person, payable at time of booking.
The Grounds of the City can accommodate up to 12 guests in a single reservation, or up to 16 guests on approval by venue management. For larger groups, please consider a reservation at The Grounds of Alexandria.
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance of your reservation. Last-minute cancellations made within this time may be charged a $30 per person fee for the inconvenience. Cancellation charges are not made immediately in case the venue is not contactable within a reasonable time.
The following surcharges may apply:
– 1.5% transaction fee applies for all card transactions
– 5% surcharge applies on Saturdays and Sundays
– 10% service charge applies for groups of 10 or more adults
– 15% surcharge applies on public holidays
Reservations at The Grounds of the City are in high demand, particularly during busy periods, and we want to ensure that customers who have made a booking turn up, or provide us with enough notice of cancellation so that we can offer the table to someone else.
Your card details are securely held with your booking and are not identifiable by any of our staff. Your card will only be charged in the event of no-show or last-minute cancellation as per venue policy.
Reservations for up to 3 guests can be made for bar seating. Full dine-in service is still available at the bar.
The Grounds of the City features a semi-private section known as The Tasting Room. While we will do our best to accommodate requests to be seated in this area, unfortunately we cannot guarantee availability.
If you are making a reservation for a business meal and require a quiet table, please make a note of this in your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate you.
A share-plate set menu is available on request for groups of 4 or more.
The Grounds of the City is a fully licensed venue with alcoholic beverages available for purchase. We are not a BYO venue.
External cakes and desserts are allowed; a $3 per person cakeage fee will apply.
You are welcome to bring your own table decorations with you when visiting, we just ask that any decorations be small enough to fit on the table – unfortunately we cannot accommodate free-standing decorations. Confetti & glitter are not permitted and will incur a $50 cleaning fee if used.
All chicken used at The Grounds of the City is halal-certified, purchased from an external supplier. Please note, however, that our kitchen is not halal-certified. While all care will be taken to avoid any cross-contamination, we cannot guarentee that this will not occur as pork and alcohol products are used in the preparation of other menu dishes.
While dogs are not normally permitted at The Grounds of the City due to shopping centre regulations, assistance and service dogs are allowed; please notify our staff when making your reservation.
