Almond Mango Smoothie Recipe
(Dairy-Free)
Brought to you by our sponsors of The Grounds by the Sea
Mango season is back and we love whipping up smoothies using seasonal ingredients that are healthy, refreshing and most importantly, delicious. With a few hot days we’ve been lucky enough to make the most of from our pop-up in Bondi, our Mango Smoothie has been a hit and provided the perfect way to rejuvenate our guests who have been exploring all the sculptures along the coastal walk.
We’ve recreated our popular smoothie with a dairy-free twist, using Almond Breeze Almond Milk, which happens to make the ideal breakfast or snack on the run. The recipe is easy enough to create in just 5 minutes, but if you’re ahead of the game, we recommend prepping and storing your fresh mango in the freezer the night before to give your smoothie an extra bit of cool.
We’re suckers for flat lay photo’s so show us yours with #thegrounds if you recreate this recipe, and be sure to drop by to check out the pop-up in Marks Park, Tamarama – we’ll be open until Monday 7th November.
RECIPE (Makes 1)
Ingredients:
- 300ml ‘Almond Breeze’ Almond Milk
- 100ml Mango Nectar
- 2 Scoops Mango Sorbet
- 1 freshly cut, ripe Mango
- ¼ cup Ice
To garnish:
- Dried Mango
- Sprig of mint
- ½ tsp Goji berries
- ½ tsp chia seeds
- ½ tsp flax seeds
Recipe:
- Combine all ingredients in a Breville blender and process until smooth
- Add ice and blend until smoothie thickens
- Serve in a chilled glass
- Garnish with dried mango cheeks and mixed goji berries and sprig of mint
Serving tip: Get creative and mix things up with different garnishes. We recommend healthy ingredients that create a contrasting pop of colour, such as strawberries, blueberries and lime slices; or to keep things tropical, wedge some chunks of fresh pineapple and peach on the side of the glass and finish with some mint and a patterned straw! #thegroundsbythesea
