At The Grounds, we’re all about making ordinary into extraordinary, and this extends to everything we touch. Our bar tenders are great at making a range of cocktails, but we put them to the test to create unique and visually stunning pieces which we use for events. In comes our Valentine’s Day masterpiece.
The inspiration for this one is simple, we love flowers, we love bright colours and we want it to look like a colourful fish bowl, but way better, and not full of fish (haha).
Petr, one of our bartenders in The Potting Shed, was given that brief and came to us with this beautiful creation, and gave us the recipe to try at home!
The Grounds Valentine’s Day Cocktail
Ingredients:
30 ml white rum
15 ml creme de cassis (blackcurrant liq.)
15 ml creme de cacao dark
10 ml fresh vanilla cream
45 ml fresh raspberries
How to:
1. Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
2. Shake!
3. Pour into a beautiful glass (remember this serves 2).
4. Top with some fresh flowers and fragrant herbs – go crazy!
Tip: To go that extra mile and show your skills, put some rosewater ice into the cocktail rather than normal ice.
