Mother’s Day Event at The Grounds
Not too long ago now, we hosted an event in The Grounds Atrium to celebrate the one’s who love us most – mums! With the lane way dressed like a lavender dream, guests were welcomed through overgrown trees and hanging floral into a sunlit wonderland of you guessed it, more florals.
With roving entertainment (in the form of a few quirky and thankfully not at all creepy) clowns, as well as singing from the very talented Cat Vas and Michael Duchesne, our Mother’s Day lunch for 2017 was a real delight.
With a photo opp at every turn, we were snap happy capturing moments of the special day, so here’s a little look through the event that was…
With delicious fare on offer for the whole family to share, we treated guests to tasty canapés on arrival and a divine three course meal to follow.
For entree, our chef’s served up an abundant platter with the freshest of seafood including with Alaskan king crab legs, North Queensland tiger prawns, NSW king prawns, Port Stephens rock oysters and more. Followed by a family roast with all the traditional accompaniments including duck fat roasted potatoes (yum!), cauliflower cheese and glazed baby carrots.
To finish with a little sweet treat (even though we think mum’s already sweet enough), our Patisserie chefs served up a classic high tea style selection of mini desserts – the ideal way to have multiple desserts sans the guilt.
