We know that plans can change, though we ask that any cancellations be made no less than 2 hours prior to your booking time. Group menu bookings on Monday – Friday require 24 hour notice for cancellation, Saturday – Sunday require 48 hour notice for cancellation. Cancellations made within this time, or failure to show up for your booking without notice, will incur an automatic charge of $30 per person.
Please note a $25 per adult minimum spend applies after 4pm.

Reservations at The Potting Shed are in high demand, particularly during busy periods, and we want to ensure that customers who have made a booking turn up, or provide us with enough notice of cancellation so that we can offer the table to someone else.
Your card details are securely held with your booking and are not identifiable by any of our staff. Your card will only be charged in the event of no-show or last-minute cancellation as per venue policy.
Groups of 10 or more adults are required to dine on our set menu. If there are any dietary requirements, please notify us when booking so the appropriate accommodations can be made.
The set menu is available on request for smaller groups (min. 6 adults).
The Potting Shed can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests in a single reservation. For larger groups, please make an enquiry for a private function with our Events team.
During dinner service for peak holiday periods, a minimum spend of $25 per adult may apply.
The Potting Shed is a fully licensed venue with alcoholic beverages available for purchase. We are not a BYO venue.
External cakes and desserts are allowed; a $3 per person cakeage fee will apply. The cakeage charge is waived for any cakes pre-ordered through The Grounds Catering.
You are welcome to bring your own table decorations with your reservation, we just ask that any decorations be small enough to fit on the table – unfortunately we cannot accommodate free-standing decorations. Confetti & glitter are not permitted and will incur a $50 cleaning fee if used.
All meats used at The Potting Shed are halal-certified, purchased from an external supplier. Please note, however, that our kitchen is not halal-certified. While all care will be taken to avoid any cross-contamination, we cannot guarentee that this will not occur as pork and alcohol products are used in the preparation of other menu dishes.
Dogs are welcome throughout The Potting Shed – please note this in your reservation when booking. Dogs must be on a leash or harness at all times, and must be sat on the floor of the venue at all times (not permitted on laps or chairs).
The Potting Shed is an outdoor covered venue that is fully weatherproofed, with extensive heating and fans for comfort.
In the evening, guests dining at The Potting Shed can enjoy exclusive access to our decorated laneways after dinner. The laneways are only accessible through the restaurant, so access prior to dining isn’t possible.
The Potting Shed does not offer takeaway. Takeaway food is available from The Grounds of Alexandria Cafe during the day.
The Potting Shed offers several options for semi-private and private dining, for those extra-special occasions.
