The Parlour is a private dining room within The Grounds Potting Shed, so many guests don’t even know it’s there! Formerly The Lock In, the space was full of rustic charm and vintage trinkets, but in 2026, it was renovated and relaunched as The Parlour – a stylish spot for shared banquets and intimate gatherings.
Enjoy a three-course banquet designed for sharing, laid out on a beautifully styled table. Seasonal dishes arrive ready for passing, tasting, and savouring together, while drinks can be ordered on the day to perfectly match your meal and mood.
No, but drinks are available to order on the day. From bubbles to cocktails, we’ve got something to pair perfectly with your banquet.
The Parlour is perfect for groups of 8-16, cosy enough for intimate conversation but spacious enough to enjoy a full shared banquet. For larger groups of 10–20, consider The Potter’s Corner experience for a similarly memorable private dining occasion.
Absolutely! While it’s perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or work dinners, The Parlour is great for any gathering where good food, drinks, and company take centre stage.
Unfortunately, wedding ceremonies are not permitted in The Parlour.
We offer an indulgent three-course banquet featuring seasonal dishes crafted for sharing. The set menu can accommodate some dietary requirements, which are listed on the menu. For restrictions that can’t be fully accommodated, minor adjustments can be made, or individual à la carte dishes can be provided. Please note, we’re unable to make large-scale alterations or fully customise the menu.
Our table is beautifully styled to suit the space, and while the look changes from time to time, we can’t make custom styling requests. Feel free to bring small table decorations if you’d like, but free-standing items aren’t permitted. Please note confetti and glitter aren’t allowed and will incur a $50 cleaning fee.
The Potting Shed is fully licensed, so drinks are available to purchase on the day and BYO alcohol is not permitted.
You’re welcome to bring your own cake for celebrations, with a $3 per person cakeage fee. This fee is waived for cakes pre-ordered through The Grounds Catering.
