Name Of Promotion: The Potting Shed x Villa Massa Limoncello Promotion

Promoter: The Grounds of Alexandria (ABN: 38 625 114 132) of 7A/2 Huntley Street, Alexandria NSW 2015.

Promotional Period Starts:11:30am (AEST) on Thursday, 29 August 2024.

Promotional Periods Ends: 11:00pm (AEDT) on Sunday, 27 October 2024.

Eligibility: Entrants must be 18 years old or over.

Number of Entries Per Person: Only one entry is permitted per bill / transaction made at The Potting Shed in The Grounds of Alexandria. People can enter the competition multiple times if they dine at The Potting Shed on different occasions during the Promotion Period.

How To Enter: To enter the competition, diners at The Potting Shed in The Grounds of Alexandria must scan the QR code on their bill and complete the online entry form as instructed on the website. Accessing the promotional website may incur charges based on the entrant’s Internet Service Provider.

Prize: One prize winner will receive:

  • One voucher to the value of AUD$4,000.00, redeemable for flights.
  • Return transfers for two people between Naples-Capodichino International Airport and Sorrento, Italy.
  • Two nights accommodation for two people in Sorrento, Italy.
  • A visit for two people to the Villa Massa Distillery in Sorrento, Italy including a tour of ‘Le Grottelle’, an ancient lemon grove, and a demonstration of how Villa Massa is produced.
  • A gastronomic experience for two people in Sorrento, including one lunch and one dinner.
  • The opportunity to choose one additional experience for two people from the following options: a cooking class; boat tour; visit to Mount Vesuvius; or visit to Pompeii.

The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$7,900.00.

The prize must be redeemed in full by 31 December 2026. The visit to the Villa Massa Distillery is subject to availability and will only be offered on days when the Villa is not closed for private functions or summer holidays. The winner is responsible for arranging this visit in advance with a representative of Villa Massa. If the visit to the Villa Massa Distillery is not available during the winner’s trip to Sorrento, Italy, that portion of the prize will be forfeited, and no cash alternative will be provided. If the entire prize is not redeemed before the stated deadline, it will be forfeited in full, with no cash substitute provided.

Selection of Winners: One winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries. This is a game of chance, and skill does not influence the selection of the winner.

Draw Time And Place: 12:00pm (AEDT) on Monday, 28 October 2024 at The Grounds of Alexandria, located at 7A/2 Huntley Street, Alexandria NSW 2015.

Winner Publication: The winner’s first initial, surname and postcode will be published online at: https://www.thegrounds.com.au/villa-massa.

General

1. The above Particulars, entry instructions, and prize information are part of the entry terms. By entering the Promotion, you accept these terms and conditions. In case of any discrepancy between these terms and any other information about this Promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail.

Who Can Enter?

2. Entry is open to all individuals who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Particulars, except for directors, contractors, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, and companies, suppliers, and agencies associated with the Promotion, including any prize providers. Eligibility requirements must be met at the time of entry and when the prize winner is determined.

When To Enter?

3. The Promotion opens and closes as specified in the Particulars (Promotion Period). Entries must be received by the Promoter within the Promotion Period.

4. All entries are considered received when they are received by the Promoter, not when they are sent by the entrant.

5. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, misdirected, delayed, ineligible, incomplete, or corrupted entries, or for delays in the delivery of entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion, or any other reasons.

How To Enter?

6. Details on how to enter are provided in the Particulars.

7. Entrants are fully responsible for their entry content and must ensure their entry complies with these terms and conditions.

8. Entrants must not: a) Tamper with the entry process; b) Engage in any unlawful or improper misconduct intended to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion; c) Submit an entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions; d) Use a third party (including online competition entry sites) to enter on their behalf, except where the entrant requires third-party services due to a disability; or e) Engage in conduct during entry that, in the opinion of the Promoter, is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. Any entrant found to have breached these terms and conditions will be disqualified, all their entries invalidated, and any prize claims invalidated. If a prize has already been awarded, the entrant must immediately return the prize to the Promoter.

9. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if an entrant has breached these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to request any documentation it deems necessary to confirm or deny its suspicions. Failure to provide such documentation upon request gives the Promoter the right to disqualify the entrant. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from any offender are reserved.

Number of Entries Permitted

10. Only one entry is allowed per bill / transaction made at The Potting Shed in The Grounds of Alexandria. Guests can enter the competition multiple times if they dine at The Potting Shed on separate occasions during the Promotion Period.

Prize Draw And Notification of Winner

11. The winner will be the first valid entry, submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions, that is randomly drawn as the winning entry as specified in the Particulars.

12. If a prize draw is scheduled for a public holiday, it will be conducted on the following business day.

13. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence regarding the competition result or any other decisions related to the Promotion will be entered into.

14. The winner will be notified by telephone or email within two days of the prize draw. The winner’s first initial, surname, and postcode will be published on this webpage approximately 24 hours after the draw and will remain on the website for at least 30 days.

15. The prize will be awarded to the person named in the winning entry. However, in the case of a dispute, the prize will be awarded to the account holder of the entry mechanism used to submit the entry (e.g., the mobile phone account holder).

Prize On Offer

16. The prize is detailed in the Particulars.

17. Unless otherwise stated, prize values are based on the recommended retail prices at the time of the first publication of these terms and conditions (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for changes in prize value between now and the prize redemption date.

18. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise from accepting the prize.

19. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

20. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements. It is the winner’s responsibility to confirm such conditions with the prize supplier or other relevant third parties.

21. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter at its absolute discretion.

22. If the Particulars specify a time/date by which a prize must be taken, and the winner does not take the prize by that stipulated time/date, the entire prize will be forfeited, and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.

Prize Clauses

23. Travel vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the voucher provider. Once awarded, the Promoter is not liable for any voucher that is lost, stolen, forged, damaged, or tampered with in any way.

24. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts outside its control, including but not limited to acts of God (such as adverse weather conditions), industrial action, civil commotion, or the impact of any pandemic or epidemic.

25. The prize must be redeemed in full by 31 December 2026. If not redeemed by this date, the prize will be forfeited entirely, and no cash substitute will be provided.

26. The visit to the Villa Massa Distillery is subject to availability and will only be offered on days when the Villa is not closed for private functions or summer holidays. It is the winner’s responsibility to arrange this visit in advance with a representative of Villa Massa. If the Villa Massa Distillery visit is not available at the time of the winner’s trip to Sorrento, Italy, this portion of the prize will be forfeited in full, and no cash alternative will be provided.

27. The winner (and their companion) is responsible for all other expenses, including but not limited to spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure and any other flight-associated taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, service charges, passports, visas, travel insurance, and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The winner is responsible for ensuring that they and their travelling companion are fit to travel and have received appropriate immunizations and/or health checks before taking the prize.

28. The winner and their travel companion are responsible for complying with health and any other government requirements that may apply to the prize. All prize travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. It is each traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid travel documentation, including valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of government authorities at the relevant destinations. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of each traveller. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions, or other issues that may exist at any destination. Entrants should obtain travel advice from independent sources, such as the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

29. The winner acknowledges and accepts that activities that form part of the prize are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property, or other losses. The winners release the Promoter and other organisers, their related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, agents, and employees, from all liabilities, loss, and damage of any kind arising at any time out of or in connection with the acceptance of, and participation in, the prize. Without limiting the foregoing, the released parties will not be liable for any injury, sickness, or death, property loss or damage, or other direct or indirect loss or damage of any kind, however sustained or incurred, in connection with or arising out of the flights or any other aspect of the prize. The winner acknowledges that they have been warned that there is a possibility of an accident causing injury, death, or property damage in accepting the prize and that he or she may be excluded from participation in the prize if the Promoter or other organisers consider that he or she is not fit to participate.

Further Terms and Conditions

30. If for any reason this Promotion cannot run as planned, including (without limitation) due to computer virus infection, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any causes beyond the Promoter’s control (such as vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, war, acts of terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, or public health orders), the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take any available action, including (without limitation) cancelling, terminating, modifying, or suspending the competition, subject to any directions given under State Regulation.

31. If the prize, or an element of the prize, is unavailable for any reason, including (without limitation) causes beyond the Promoter’s control (such as natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, war, acts of terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, or public health orders), the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State and Territory legislation. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated, and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.

32. In consideration of the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner permits their submission, image, and/or voice, as recorded, photographed, or filmed during their participation in the prize, to appear in connection with the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate, or the goods and services of any of them, or the advertising or marketing of any of them, in any media whatsoever throughout the world, and the winner will not be entitled to any fee.

Limitation of Liability

33. The Promoter does not exclude any rights and remedies in respect of goods or services under the Australian Consumer Law in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law) that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury sustained in connection with any prize (including, but not limited to, attendance at an event or travel undertaken during any current health warning, epidemic, or pandemic affecting the event or travel). Liability will only extend to the extent that it cannot be excluded by law.

34. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by the entrant or by any equipment or programming associated with or used in this competition, or for any technical errors, including but not limited to omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communications line or network failures (telephone, mobile, or satellite), theft, destruction, or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

Entry Details and Privacy

35. The Grounds of Alexandria is collecting the entrant’s personal information for the purpose of conducting this competition, including determining the winner, and for communicating marketing materials. If you do not agree to this, you cannot participate in the promotion.

36. The Promoter collects information about entrants, such as their name and contact details, provided when entering the competition or using Promoter’s services. This information may also be collected from data sources, social media services, and Promoter’s affiliates. The Promoter uses this information to conduct the competition, provide goods and services, promote and improve its offerings, deliver targeted advertising based on online activities, and for purposes outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter may disclose this information to related companies, including those outside Australia, and to service and content providers, including those located outside Australia. Entrants who do not provide the requested information may not receive the competition goods and services. Personal information may also be disclosed to authorities if required by law or if the entrant is a prize winner.
