By Day: Dine at The Cafe, The Garden, or The Potting Shed to immerse yourself in our pink Christmas wonderland. While walk-ins are always welcome, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance to secure your spot and ensure a magical experience.
By Night: As the sun sets, our Sugarplum Christmas laneways are illuminated by spectacular lights. To enjoy access, join us for a meal in The Potting Shed. Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend booking ahead to secure your spot.
It’s the new Christmas theme that has taken over The Grounds of Alexandria precinct, with a stunning walk-through display in our laneways and delicious, limited edition treats to try in our venues!
To visit The Grounds of Alexandria and see our Sugarplum Christmas display, you just need to be dining at one of our venues – The Cafe, The Potting Shed, or The Garden. We accept bookings and walk-ins daily.
Sugarplum Christmas experience is open for customers of The Cafe, The Potting Shed, or The Garden.
Please note that during busy periods, we may request proof of purchase (e.g. receipt or bill) prior to entry to the laneways.
Absolutely! If you’re posting to social media, please tag us – your photo may even be featured on our accounts. We also ask that you be respectful of other guests passing through the laneways.
Phones and personal cameras are allowed. Please note that professional or commercial photoshoots are not permitted in the laneways.
No – our laneways are not covered. We’re open rain or shine, but during wet weather, we recommend bringing a small umbrella or poncho.
The closest train stations are:
• Green Square: 10 – 15 minute walk
• St Peters: 20 minute walk
• Waterloo (Metro): 15 – 20 minute walk
Bus stops outside our complex have regular services to:
• Redfern
• Mascot
• Wolli Creek
• Randwick
Route updates, timetables and travel information is available on the Transport for NSW website, or real-time travel apps.
Taxis and Rideshare (e.g. Uber, Ola, etc.) can drop off / pick up on Huntley Street.
Set the destination as The Grounds of Alexandria, or our street address (7a/2 Huntley Street, Alexandria NSW 2015).
Due to limited parking options in and around Alexandria, we encourage and recommend the use of public transport where possible.
Onsite parking is first come first served, meaning availability is not guaranteed, particularly on weekends and during holiday periods – please allow extra time if you are driving, or consider public transport options.
To access our onsite car park, enter via 2 Huntley Street (behind our Cafe).
Please note a 2 hour time limit is temporarily in place for parking during the day.
Street parking in the surrounding area can generally be found within a 10-15 minute walk.
Good places to check are:
• Huntley Street
• Burrows Road
• Maddox Street
Several pre-paid parking facilities can be found within a 10 minute walk of The Grounds, including at Sydney Corporate Park (entrance via Doody Street) and on Bourke Road.
