Meet The Family – The Grounds Farm

There’s another part of The Grounds family we need to talk about. It’s The Grounds Farm. We’ve got a great mix of animals that you can pat and feed daily. Some need no introductions but here’s a little breakdown.

Kevin Bacon
Everyone knows KB. He keeps the crew in check, he sleeps a whole lot, walks the beat (Kev’s Daily walk) and inspects The Grounds daily. Then tends to sleep a whole lot more. You’re allowed to do that when you’re the boss.

He’s been a part of the family since he was a piglet and a fair bit cuter than he is now. He was meant to be a “tea cup pig”, but the only thing he’ll do with your cup is break it and then possibly eat it. There ain’t no Big Kev fitting in that cup.

Naughty the Goat
Naughty is naughty by nature (not the band) and hence Naughty by name. The friendliest kid in the farm. She’ll come say hello and jump onto the fence for a pat. She eats whatever she can whenever she can. Flowers, hats, you name it she’ll eat it.

Meryl Sheep
Meryl is more of a quiet one amongst the gang and often called Barry… you know; deep voice, white fleece, Barry White?? She’s pretty friendly but generally just ghosts naughty around wishing she was as athletic and out going as she is.

The Chicken Gang
This motley crew are un-predictable and pretty much primed to escape to
The Garden at any opportunity. They may look chilled and aimless but this is all a disguise. They’re always plotting and it’s only a matter of time before we’re chasing them around The Garden whilst they attempt to crash the next afternoon wedding.

You can meet all of the crew at our daily animal feedings at 11:30am and 1:30pm. With our carer by your side you can pat the animals, take photos and feed them some of their daily grain.
