In the most romantic month of the year (February, duh), we’re celebrating love all 28 days long. With so many events & dinners planned, we thought we’d share a favourite recipe of ours for you to rustle up in your own home! What can we say, we’re the giving type.
Presenting to you… The Lover’s Delight. It encapsulates romance in a glass. Think chocolate and roses married together, seductively slow dancing with your tastebuds…. Mmm.
Wait, where were we?
Oh, the recipe. Here’s what you need to know.
45ml Ketel One Vodka
20ml Rose Syrup
20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
1.5 Eggs Whites
2 – 3 Drops of Chocolate Syrup
1. Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker.
2. Dry shake – this means to shake the liquid ingredients as they are with no ice. This produces a foamy, silky texture with the egg whites.
3. Wet shake – throw some ice cubes in and give it a good shake, this will ensure all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined, cool it right down, and dilute the strength just a touch so it’s more pleasant to drink.
4. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with fresh rose petals and chocolate dust. If you’re serving it for dessert, we recommend plating it with some fresh turkish delight on the side too.
If you so wish to only reap the rewards, it will be deliciously available in The Potting Shed and The Grounds of the City for the month of February.
Try it out and let us know what you think! We’re sure this one will sweeten you (or your loved one) right up.
