Since opening the doors to The Grounds of the City almost 12 months ago (can you believe how fast time flies?) we’ve been working on ways to continue to grow our community by bringing like-minded people together and fostering creativity within the CBD.
In partnership with the cool kids at General Assembly, we’re now offering a new way for you to experience The Grounds of the City after hours… Introducing the ‘Ask Me Anything’ series – a monthly fireside chat with experts from different industries (minus the actual fireplace).
With experts from varying fields each month these sessions are designed to offer targeted advice catered to you in the form of a friendly discussion, helping you grow and excel in your career (whichever industry that may be) with a glass of wine in hand.
For our very first session in February we welcomed award-winning growth strategy specialist, Charlotte Meyer, who shared her experiences of working in both the U.S. and Australia, and her insights into growth marketing and tips for companies big and small.
This week, our guest speakers were pretty special to us – we were very lucky to have the design brains behind our venues, Vince Alafaci and Caroline Choker of ACME, talk all things architecture and interior design. They shared their tips for breaking into the industry and experience working on some of Sydney’s most beautiful venues.
For our next event on April 14th, we’re ecstatic to welcome Cameron Adams, one of the Co-Founders of Canva (who heads up the design and product teams) to speak. Following that, our co-founder and Head of Coffee, Jack Hanna, joined by our Training & Wholesale Manager, Andrew Hunt, will talk coffee, where the future of the industry is headed, running a roastery business and more on May 14th.
If either of these topics takes your fancy, we recommend you snap up a ticket fast as places at these intimate events are strictly limited. Our friends at Lark Hill winery will have wine on offer while our chefs serve up a few tasty canapes too.
