As a Host, you are the first point of contact for our customers. Therefore, you will ensure all customers are greeted in a welcoming, warm and friendly way. You will direct all customers to their seats, and provide them with all required information. You will play a vital role in ensuring the beauty of our space, the customer experience and our culture shines through. It is expected that you will uphold and demonstrate our beliefs in food, service and ambience.
Friendly and Caring: You are bubbly, kind, and approachable, displaying the utmost respect and service standards to all customers and staff. You always demonstrate genuine empathy and compassion for the customer and your team.
Willing to go above and beyond: As with all positions at the Grounds, as a host, you should be willing to go above and beyond your job to make our customers happy.
Ability to Anticipate customers Needs: When customers arrive to our venue, you should be able to read customers and anticipate their needs.
Engaging and Inquisitive: You have the ability to engage with our customers and have meaningful conversations. A good host should be able to ask questions and probe how the venue can deliver great and personalised experience.
Calm and Composed: Being one of Sydney’s busiest venues, the Grounds can be extremely busy and fast paced. You are able to stay calm and composed in stressful situations.
Always Smiling: You have a genuine and warm smile, inviting all customers to our venue.
Knowledgeable & Resourceful: As the first point of contact for our customers, you will always be prepared to answer our customers questions, and make recommendations. You will be resourceful, always able to think on your feet and create solutions to different situations.
Our brand ambassador: You will be the first and last person our customers interact with, therefore, you will be the ‘face of the Grounds’ to most customers. You will communicate our brand of creating special moments with every customer.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
A qualification in Hospitality is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is required.
